social_networking_people1Its comes as no surprise anymore that social media can play a big part in the success and popularity of your business.   However, how can you create a genuine social media campaign with real connections with the sudden rise of the infamous automated marketing software? It seems like everyone is going automatic these days, sacrificing the opportunity to make authentic connections with authentic people for the instant gratification of an automated software. With all the frenzy surrounding these automated software’s, we seem to have conveniently forgotten the basic purpose of social media for business, and the basics are what works best:

Connect With Potential Customers:

Social networks have the ability to connect you with your target audience in an effective and non-complicated way. The capability of social networks to connect you with individuals that have an interest in your product or service is what makes it powerful. If we develop the habit of automatically adding randoms to our never ending list of followers, it defeats the purpose.

Feedback From Customers:
Social networks also play a part on how you interact with your customers. Feedback from customers are not only welcomed but they are needed for the growth of the business, with the use for social networks you can constantly communicate with customers and receive opinions on what they thought about a particular product or service. Whereas if you had an automated system in place it will be virtually impossible to receive any sort of feedback because your so called customers are not real customers to begin with.

Establish Expertise And Professionalism:
With the use of blogs, you can educate customers on specific topics that have to do with your industry, introduce customers to new products or services, and start discussions with the use of the comment box. You can also use popular social networking sites to share your recent accomplishments, answer questions, and drop the occasional tip.

Network With Other Experts:
Social networks are great places to meet other experts in your field, there you’ll have the opportunity to see what others are doing and learn first hand. Another upside of networking with other experts in your niche is the highly probable opportunity to partner up with a veteran in your field which could be lucrative for you in the future.

Distribute Products Or Service:
It’s no secret anymore that social media can dramatically boost sales. After Dell shared the secret to their recent successful social media campaign with world, the world literally tried to duplicate it; but we’re all forgetting one thing; Dell was around way before social networks came to existence. Dell has been around for decades already establishing different levels of trust with customers, so if you really want to duplicate their successful social media campaign; start making real connections with real people.

Automated marketing tools are fine don’t get me wrong, but we have to complement the way we use them with a bit of human touch.
